The Dresden State Art Collections<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Spread through a number of museums, the Dresden State Art Collections are the second of the so-called 23 “<\/span>Cultural lighthouses<\/a><\/strong>” in Eastern Germany. Born in the 16<sup>th<\/sup> century with the “Art Chamber” (Kunstkammer<\/em>), the Collections were promoted under the reign of Augustus the Strong (1670-1733) and son Augustus III (1696-1763). The Collections are currently in these museums to be seen:<\/span><\/p>\n

the Green Vault (<\/span>Gr\u00fcne Gew\u00f6lbe<\/a><\/strong>)<\/span>
\n the\u00a0Collection of Prints, Drawings and Photographs (<\/span>Kupferstich-Kabinett<\/a><\/strong>)<\/span>

\n the Armoury (<\/span>R\u00fcstkammer<\/a><\/strong>)<\/span>
\n the Ethnographical Museum (<\/span>Museum f\u00fcr V\u00f6lkerkunde<\/a><\/strong>)<\/span>
\n the Porcelain Collection (<\/span>Porzellansammlung<\/a><\/strong>)<\/span>
\n the<\/span> Mathematisch-Physikalischen Salon<\/strong>
\n<\/a>the\u00a0Old Masters Painting Gallery (<\/span>Gem\u00e4ldegalerie Alte Meister<\/a><\/strong>)<\/span>
\n the Sculpture Collection (<\/span>Skulpturensammlung<\/a><\/strong>)<\/span>
